Shabazz Palaces-Ode To Octavia Pt. 12 Short Film
I had the pleasure of being the Producer on a Shabazz Palaces short film we shot this past year. It was an incredible experience working with such a talented group of people to create something for a band whose music means so much to me. Originally it screened as part of the FRYE Art Museum’s Moment Magnitude show but is now online for everyone to view.

April Seattle MET Coverstory
My first coverstory for Seattle MET is out on stands. I had the fun assignment of running around Seattle shooting the best bar’s that feature equally as good of food as their cocktails. I did my best to restrain from trying every drink they made….I cannot say the same about not trying each plate of food. Needless to say, my photo assistants were stoked.
Murphy's Oil Soap Campaign
The Murphy’s Oil Soap 2013 Campaign I shot launched on their website & Pinterest yesterday. It was hard to beat the classic Grandma Church Ad but we did our best.

Kurtwood Farms (N.W Cheese Series Part 2)
Kurtwood Farm’s is part 2 in my series on Northwest Cheese Farms. I had a great morning shooting at the Vashon Island cheese farm. Kurt Timmermeister’s Dinah wheel cheese (a soft, buttery Camembert-style cheese) has been one of my favorites for the past year. It was wonderful meeting the man behind it. Kurt was such a humble and lovely human. The tucked away farm fits right in on...

Thanksgiving Still Life
Did my best at creating a fun holiday still life for this week inspired by the classic Dutch Masters paintings. Big thanks to Ashley & Gabe Rodriguez for the food styling collaboration. I had the pleasure of using a Phase Digital 645 back on a commercial job last week and used it after-hours for this still-life. The resolution was unbelievable. Bella Luna Farms (N.W Cheese Series Part 1)
I spent a lovely fall afternoon shooting the Bella Luna Farm’s in Snohomish, WA. They are part of a booming N.W Cheese making scene that has been super fun to document in a new series i’m working on. Their goat cheese was incredible!…especially with those pickled chantrelle mushrooms they foraged. Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Mt. Eerie for Self-Titled Magazine
I had the pleasure of shooting Phil Elevrum (Mt. Eerie) for Self-Titled Magazines new amazing issue. For this spread they had Phil talk about his two new records breaking them down track by track. Nathan Kundtz for Bloomberg Businessweek
I shot a local tech innovator Nathan Kundtz for this weeks Bloomberg Businessweek (read the article here). He has developed a new technology that could quickly replace the satellite dish as we know it. He was a really inspiring guy to talk to and fun to shoot. With Bill Gates as the primary investor in his company, I’m sure he will continue to create and innovate.

Photos: Chillan Chile
During my recent first trip to Chile shooting for the upcoming LLBean Holiday campaign, I brought along my trusty Mamiya 7. These were a few of the shots I snapped during the trip. Chillan was a stunning place to see. Several hours from the coast of Chile tucked into the Andes, it was mostly a small ski/snowboard town but the views never ceased to amaze.

Macklemore/Sub Pop-Same Love Single
I photographed the cover of Macklemores new single “Same Love,” featuring his two Uncles on the cover. The song is a revealing account about the intolerance toward the gay community in American culture. The limited edition 7” is being released by Sub Pop Records on July 31. All proceeds will go to benefit the Music for Marriage Equality campaign. WA state could be the first to pass this...
Ishmael Butler for CityArts
Seattle’s infamous Ishmael Butler of Shabazz Palaces/Digable Planets interviewed legendary Quincy Jones for the latest issue of CityArts magazine. We decided to pay homage to Quincys classic record Gula Matari with the cover. I enjoyed working with Ish again and feel like the cover is a solid representation of the mood/feel of Quincys album cover.
Mike Mills for PUL Magazine
I finally managed to get a hold of a print copy of my shoot with Director/Artist Mike Mills for Argentinian Magazine PUL. Its pretty cool to see the final spread pages with photos in a foreign publication. Shot at Mike’s home in Silverlake CA.

Clang! for Bloomberg Businessweek Magazine
Had a chance to shot author Neal Stephenson who is attempting to create a realistic medieval sword fighting video game. This wont be your average “push button to swing sword” RPG. He is working on creating a heavy duty swing-able sword controller. His Kickstarter campaign has already raised an impressive 300K plus. The video definitely cracked me up. It was a super fun shoot.

Pacific Standard Magazine Release
I could not be more proud/thrilled to see issue 1 of Pacific Standard in print this weekend at the new Land Management Gallery here in Seattle. A truly unique quality print publication showcasing our own local...
North Cascade HWY
One of my favorite things about photography is something being in the right place at the right time and getting a shot that tells such a good story. I was driving home on the Northern Cascades HWY at the end of daylight and saw this odd guy picking apart his rotting RV with a hammer.. I literally stopped in front of his shack and snapped one from the driver seat. Click for high res to see that...
THEESatisfaction for NYLON Magazine
I shot Seattle’s own THEESatisfaction for the June issue of NYLON. The girls debut album on Sub Pop is so damn fresh. Excited the ladies are getting the press they deserve.
Poor Moon for Sub Pop
I shot some new promotional photos for Sub Pop band Poor Moon recently. The band includes Christian/Casey of The Fleet Foxes and I couldn’t be happier that they are putting out new music with this lineup. I was a huge Crystal Skulls fan (Christians first project) and this music brings me back to that era. Here are two of my favorites from the shoot.
